Curriculum
Kindergarten Education
The aim of this Kindergarten program is to make learning both fun and enjoyable, thus, laying the groundwork for a fruitful education in the future. It allows children to feel and play and laugh and sing; they can learn for themselves about each other and the wider world. The program is designed to help children mature and progress spiritually, socially, physically, mentally and academically and at their own pace and rhythm. It offers a warm and friendly environment where children feel at home and at the same time ready to explore and respond to challenges.
Academic subjects include Thai Language, Mathematics, Life Experience and Aptitude. The English subjects integrate Language, Science, Mathematics and Art. They are all taught by foreign teachers.
Teachers give the children the time to do things for themselves and encourage them to do both quiet and noisy work. Children sometimes work in small groups and sometimes work at teacher directed activities.
Attamit recognizes the needs of each age group and the staff work together to meet differing development stages. There is a carefully planned program to support the children's learning across the curriculum. Above all, Attamit is a place from which children go home happy and fulfilled, to which they look forward to returning the following day.
Elementary Education
Our aim is to provide quality education that fosters success in academic, spiritual, social and physical areas of the students' lives. The atmosphere in the Elementary School is warm and caring, offering a stimulating and enriched educational environment.
Emphasis is placed on Thai and English languages and Science. English has a time-table of twelve periods every week and eight of which are taught by foreign teachers.
The elementary program follows the Thai Ministry of Education Curriculum guidelines, studying Thai Language, Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, Religion and Culture, Health and Physical Education, Arts, Career and Technology, and an additional foreign language subject, Mandarin, from Grade 4 and up. The Thai curriculum guidance is augmented to include local geographical and historical topics that are more relevant to our students' situation in Thailand. The children also gain from the dual English-Thai culture by studying both Thai Language and a Thai Music and Culture course.
Secondary Education
The school aims to provide quality education to enhance the academic, spiritual, social and physical areas of the students' lives.
The secondary education follows a trilingual program (Thai, English and Mandarin), studying Thai Language, Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, Religion and Culture, Health and Physical Education, Arts, Career and Technology, and Mandarin. The languages and Science subjects are given the most emphasis. English has a time-table of twelve periods every week and eight of which are taught by skilled foreign teachers.
For senior level of the secondary program, Attamit offers French language as a supplementary subject.
